THE FIRST CASUALTY OF WAR IS THE TRUTH

Ukraine has honoured 13 soldiers defended Zmiinyi Island in the Black Sea. In unverified audio clips, the border guards were told by Russians to "lay down their weapons" or "be bombed," to which the Ukrainians replied: "Russian warship, go fuck yourself." Russia denies the account, claiming they all surrendered.

The first causality of war is the truth. The events that transpired on Zmiinyi Island cannot be independently verified, but what we do know is that Ukraine heroically defends itself against Putin’s invasion.
