Night Sky With Exit

The 29th poem in Ocean Vuong’s debut Night Sky with Exit Wound is a series of fragments ranging from sexual conquests to reflections on language.

While there is an elegiac mood to the piece, the end is triumphal, suggesting that Vuong has found his calling, his home, in this world full of fragments: “Here. That’s all I wanted to be. I promise.”

032c Readytowear’s creative director Maria Koch shares Vuong’s sentiments, declaring that she doesn’t want to live in a world of fantasy. Koch opens herself up to a world where opposites can co-exist and where every fragment is being taken into account. A world where everything counts. These timeless ideals were materialized in the 032c Spring/Summer 2025 collection “Everything Counts,” where Koch presented her notion of an anti-zeitgeist uniform at the Institute du Monde Arabe at Men’s Paris Fashion Week.

While there, the Spanish car company CUPRA followed Koch on her journey or better said, CUPRA sat in the driver seat, taking her wherever she needed to go in a Formentor and providing “a light the shade of sunrise in [her] window.”
