“DON’T DREAM IT’S OVER” – A Resistance Sweatshirt and Cap

A good protest song is a true gem. “It’s not just you, I feel it too,” are some of the most comforting words to ever be spoken. Crowded House’s “Don’t Dream It’s Over” is an ode to optimism as a kind of courage that can drive resistance. The fact that it doubles as a love song encourages a tenderness that enables unity. 032c’s “Don’t Dream It’s Over” sweatshirt and cap are a wearable reminder of this belief and its power. The legendary mid-80s video for the song opens with its title scrawled over the black screen the same way it is embroidered across the back of our sweatshirt. By the end of the clip, vocalist Neil Finn struts out of the house that him and the band’s members seemingly have spent decades in and onto a green field of grass. The message is clear: Be alert, imaginative and kind. It’s not over just yet.

“Don’t Dream It’s Over” is now available at the 032c Workshop in Kreuzberg and in our web store.

They create a fake form of universal happiness associated with that deadly marketing phrase quality of life. Each incremental shift pushes the self, especially the queer self, to homogenize – something you want to reject, but in time is unavoidable."More
