Non-Violent Silk from a Distant Present: The ANDRO WEKUA ART EDITION is HERE

“If I knew what I was doing, I wouldn’t do it.” — Andro Wekua (032c, Issue 27)

In past years, 032c has dedicated two features and one exhibition to untangling the work of the Georgia-born, Berlin-based artist Andro Wekua, whose visions read as corrupted transmissions.

For his installation at the 032c Vitrine last year, Wekua presented a sculpture of a platinum blonde girl riding a black wolf, a tranquil demigoddess from the near future, or perhaps a hallucination of a “distant present.” The sculpture was accompanied by a silk artist’s print, commissioned by 032c: a glitched illustration on a square of luminous pink.

It’s now available to order: an art edition disguised as a Hermes-style scarf. A sumptuous throw, from some scratched dimension. An errant signal, printed on non-violent silk.

The Andro Wekua art edition is available now. It’s on 100% organic Cocccon silk and printed using non-toxic methods. Each comes with a certificate of authenticity.
